Acceptable Use Policy — Voice Cloning

This policy governs voice cloning on EasyVoice specifically — it does not replace the general Terms of Service, which still applies to your account.

What we already record

When you enroll a cloned voice, you attest that you have the right to use that person's voice. We record five things about that attestation: who the voice belongs to (the name you provide), your stated relationship to that person, the exact date and time you attested, and — for accountability — the IP address and browser/device (user agent) the attestation came from.

Prohibited uses

• Impersonating any real person — public figure or private individual — without their explicit, documented consent
• Fraud or any scam that relies on a cloned voice
• Harassment, threats, or targeted abuse using a cloned voice
• Political deepfakes and synthetic endorsements — fabricated statements or endorsements attributed to a real public figure or political candidate
• Any other deceptive or harmful use of a cloned voice

Watermarking

Every clip generated from a cloned voice carries an inaudible AudioSeal watermark, applied at synthesis and retained across every output format — it survives re-encoding and cannot be removed. This scope is precise: cloned-voice output only. Base Kokoro and Supertonic preset voices carry no watermark, by design, since no cloned identity is at risk there.

Enforcement & reporting

Violating this policy results in immediate account termination and permanent suspension of cloning access, without refund.

AI-generated audio may be subject to disclosure requirements in some jurisdictions — including the EU AI Act's synthetic-content transparency rules and emerging US voice-likeness law. This is general guidance, not legal advice; EasyVoice maintains an internal regulatory posture memo covering these areas, with one specific disclosure question still an open decision pending owner sign-off.
